Responsibilities
The Assistant Project Accountant is a member of the accounting team and provides financial support to Shawmut’s project teams for lump sum and GMP projects.
Responsibilities
- Supports Project Accountant and project teams for lump sum and GMP jobs
- Project setups/closeouts
- Internal budget locking/mapping
- Billing/Mapping/Cost moves
- Phase code setup
- Opportunity Management/CRM Support/Opportunity Notifications
- Any responsibilities delegated from Project Accountant
- Reporting and Tracking
- Business line tracking of Finance related deliverables
- Run time charging reports /manage allocations
- Produce PX scorecard if needed
- Update various tracking spreadsheets for business line analysis
- Ad hoc reporting as needed or as delegated to
- Handles LS and small GMP projects with financial oversight
- Project setups/closeouts
- Internal budget locking/mapping
- Billing/Mapping/Cost moves
- Phase code setup
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications
Experience & Education
- Undergrad Degree (Accounting/Finance coursework, Degree Preferred)
- 0-1 years of experience or relevant internship experience
- AP experience preferred but not required
Skills Required
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, high sense of urgency and ability to manage to deadlines.
- Professional, client service oriented, excellent written and oral communication skills
- Quick learner, resourceful and self –starter, strong work ethic
- Strong excel skills
