Assistant Professor, Supply Chain Management - University of Wisconsin-Stout

The Business Department at the University of Wisconsin-Stout seeks individuals with an expertise in Supply Chain Management, a passion for teaching, an inquisitive disposition for research, and leadership skills to fill one tenure-track assistant professor position beginning in August of 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum / Required

• Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Technology, Business Administration (MBA) or closely related field by employment start date.
• Five (5) years of management/leadership experience spanning multiple areas of the supply chain.
• Commitment to student success

Highly Desired/Preferred

• ABD or PhD in in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Technology, or closely related field.
• Two (2) years of combined teaching and/or industry training experience
• Professional certification with supply chain related organizations such as CSCMP, ISM, APICS, PMI, ASQ, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in statistical and modeling tools (i.e. R, SPSS, Arena, Excel Solver, etc.)

A terminal degree (M.F.A., Ph.D., etc.) required for promotion to full professor, unless by special exception process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Supply Chain Management, Business and Operations Management. UW-Stout is a primarily teaching institution with full-time faculty teaching typically 24 credits per year. Provide student academic advisement and conduct assessment of student learning. This includes contributing to academic program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement processes, in collaboration with faculty and staff.

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

The Department of Business is one of eight departments within the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Management and delivers courses that serve 20 undergraduate majors, including bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Supply Chain Management, The Department of Business currently has 12 full-time faculty members and typically offers 50 different courses.
