Required Qualifications
* Ph.D., or an equivalent degree in the field of biomedical sciences
* A minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral biomedical research experience, or research experience in a related area
* Experience in teaching in biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, or other area related to biomedical sciences
* Experience in biomedical and/or translational research
* Record of peer-reviewed publications in the area of expertise
* Record of accomplishment in basic, translational, or clinical cancer research

Major/Essential Functions
- Teaches graduate students in Biomedical Sciences and the post-baccalaureate certificate program
- Develops new curricular materials
- Serves as course director
- Builds and sustains an independent, externally-funded research program
- Embraces the vision of the FGSBS and interacts with other members of the Institution in a collegial, team-oriented fashion
- Mentors graduate students, post-graduate trainees, and medical students in research
- Serves the academic community through participations in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
- Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
- Ensures compliance with all applicable institutional, state, and federal policies and procedures, especially those pertaining to teaching and research
- Demonstrates professionalism
- Adheres to all institutional and FGSBS policies and procedures
