The University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Business is inviting applications for an Assistant Professor position in Micro Organizational Behavior (OB) and Human Resources (HR) to begin Fall 2025. This is one of three tenure-track positions currently open within the Department of Management.
Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong record (or promise thereof) in research. The candidate will help continue the rise of UA’s research and teaching reputation, culture, and impact. We are open to a broad range of Micro OB and HR research foci but are especially interested in those focusing on individual differences and work behavior, motivation and work performance, human capital management, talent management, work design and employee well-being, and/or the future of work. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Micro OB and/or HR. Although not required, we are interested in candidates willing to teach specialty courses like compensation, introduction to HR, and training & development.
Minimum Qualifications
(1) A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited Business School; (2) demonstrated potential for conducting high quality research and publishing in top Management journals; (3) demonstrated potential for high quality teaching.
