The Coker University Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Criminology and Sociology beginning August 2025. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position with competitive salary and benefits. This position reports to the Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences.
Preferred qualifications include an earned doctorate in Criminology or an earned doctorate in Sociology with at least 18 hours in criminology; ABD and Master's degree will be considered. Teaching responsibilities will include a wide variety of courses with both face-to-face and online teaching assignments at the undergraduate level (credentialing preferred for online teaching); opportunities for hybrid teaching possible.
