The Dept of Pediatrics, at the Univ of IL College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP), located in a mid-size metropolitan area, is seeking full-time Asst Prof of Clinical Pediatrics/Phy Surg to assist the department with the following responsibilities:
Under direction and supervision, assist department provide full-time clinical patient care to a medically underserved patient population in the hospital and outpatient clinics in the fields of Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. In addition to providing full-time clinical patient care, teach, train, and advise medical students and residents in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. Conduct medical science research and Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology, publish scientific research findings, and perform University service and administrative duties as assigned. Some periodic travel may be required for conferences, professional development, and/or local travel in between worksite locations. This position minimally requires a Medical degree (MD) degree or its foreign equivalent, 3 yrs of Pediatric residency training and 3 yrs of Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship training, a valid IL med license or eligibility for an IL med license, & board certification or eligibility for certification in Pediatrics & Pediatric Gastroenterology.
