The Dept of Medicine, at the Univ of IL College of Medicine Peoria, located in a mid-size metropolitan area, is seeking full-time Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine/Physician Surgeon to assist the department w/ the following responsibilities:
Under direction & supervision, assist department provide full-time clinical patient care to a medically underserved patient population in the hospital & outpatient clinics in the fields of Internal Medicine & Infectious Disease. In addition to providing full-time clinical patient care, teach, train, & advise medical students & residents in Internal Medicine & Infectious Disease. Conduct medical science research in Internal Medicine & Infectious Disease, publish scientific research findings, & perform
other University service & administrative duties as assigned. This position minimally requires a MD degree or its foreign equivalent, 3 yrs of Internal Medicine residency training, 2 yrs of Infectious Disease fellowship training, a valid IL med license or eligibility for an IL med license, & board certification or eligibility for certification in Internal Medicine & Infectious Disease.
