Job Description Summary:
Tenure track appointments are full-time with an initial probationary
period of seven years. Criteria for promotion includes significant
achievements in teaching, research/scholarship, and service. The award
of tenure is based on potential for sustained contributions, performing
beyond expected duties, and demonstrating leadership and innovation in
activities that enhance the reputation of the University.
The Clinical Scholar Track is for full-time faculty members who are
heavily involved in clinical service, education, and related
scholarship. This track has two career paths: Clinician-Educator
concentrating on teaching and Clinician-Investigator for concentrating
on research/scholarship. Significant contributions in professional and
academic service are required for both paths.
Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Provide patient clinical services in the clinic, ambulatory, and
in-patient settings.
- Complete documentation in a timely manner.
- Participate in non-invasive imaging services as credentialed for and
as scheduled.
- Participate in department committees, meetings, and other activities
as scheduled.
- Participate in scholarly activities including education and research
activities with students and fellows as well as independently if
desired.
- Participate in non-Invasive call in a similar fashion to other
non-invasive cardiologists.

Required Qualifications
Education/Certification:
- Degree of MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- ABIM Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
Work Experience: Completion of a three-year fellowship in Cardiology
and a one-year fellowship.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications:
- Board Certified in Cardiac Echo Imaging.
- Board Certified in Cardiac Nuclear Imaging.
