Position Overview
The University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC) at Fort Worth College of Pharmacy (HSCCP) is inviting applications for a faculty position in the Department of Pharmacotherapy. This individual will serve as a College of Pharmacy faculty member who will enhance the UNTHSC vision and mission, while making meaningful contributions to the profession of pharmacy and the community. Located at the UNTHSC campus in Fort Worth, the College of Pharmacy joined colleges/schools of Osteopathic Medicine, Public Health, Health Professions, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Nursing in 2013. The SCP graduated its first class and received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in 2017.
Located in the Fort Worth cultural district, the University of North Texas Health Science Center is one of the fastest-growing academic health science centers in Texas. The University currently enrolls 2,700 graduate students who are pursuing degrees in medicine, bio-medical sciences, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, and public health. This individual will serve as a College of Pharmacy faculty member who will enhance the UNTHSC vision and mission, while making meaningful contributions to the profession of pharmacy and the community. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Faculty Responsibilities:
* Works under the leadership of the Chair to deliver the PharmD curriculum for Professional Years 1 to 4 (PY1, PY2, PY3, PY4) as it relates to the pharmacy practice components of professional pharmacy education.
* Works under the leadership of the Chair to continuously improve the PharmD curriculum for Professional Years 1 to 4 (PY1, PY2, PY3, PY4) as it relates to the pharmacy practice components of professional pharmacy education.
* Contributes to a culture of scholarly excellence within the Department through research that ensures that the faculty member remains on the cutting edge of their chosen areas of research and scholarly activity relevant to the future of pharmacy.
* Contributes to a culture of assessment within the Department and College that works in close cooperation with faculty of other Schools/Colleges at the HSC to provide interprofessional education that meets the needs of a diverse population of Texas for effective partnerships in health and therapy.
* Contributes to service efforts that enhance the quality of pharmacy education and research in Texas and nationwide.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have graduated from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program with Doctor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and be eligible to practice pharmacy in Texas. Applicants must have completed a post-graduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy practice residency training program or have three years of internal medicine/acute care patient-related experience. At the rank of Assistant Professor, the applicant must have zero to five (0-5) years of academic or clinical experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Applicants must have graduated from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program with Doctor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and be eligible to practice pharmacy in Texas. Applicants must have completed a post-graduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy practice residency training program or have three years of internal medicine/acute care patient-related experience. At the rank of Assistant Professor, the applicant must have zero to five (0-5) years of academic or clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
It is preferred that the applicants have completed a post-graduate year two (PGY2) program in an acute care specialty such as internal medicine or pharmacotherapy, similar fellowship training, or five years of academic/clinical experience.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Texas Pharmacists License or acquisition of Texas Pharmacist License within three (3) months of hire
