We are seeking an outstanding scholar and teacher to fulfill important roles in both our APA-accredited Ph.D. program in Clinical Health Psychology and in our undergraduate psychology program. We are interested in applicants with a background and research interests in clinical health psychology with a strong record of research productivity and potential to secure extramural funding. Candidates with research backgrounds in all areas of clinical health psychology will be considered. Candidates with research interests related to BIPOC and minoritized populations, health disparities, and issues related to intersectionality are particularly encouraged to apply, as are candidates who can enhance the department's commitment to diversity through research, teaching, supervision, and outreach. Applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, to mentor and supervise diverse undergraduates and clinical health psychology graduate students, and to participate in service activities. The Department currently has scholars working in the following areas: psycho-oncology, palliative care, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, cardiovascular health psychology, spirituality and health, daily health behaviors, telehealth, neuropsychology, couples functioning, pain, opioid addiction, integrated primary care, infant and child development, and post-partum depression. The successful applicant will join nine existing graduate faculty in the teaching and mentoring of Ph.D. students and a broader group of 23 faculty within the psychology department as a whole. In addition to colleagues within the department, the nearby University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus provides rich opportunities for collaboration. The position requires a Ph.D. in clinical psychology (or closely related field) from an APA-accredited program.
