2nd Shift Assistant Production Manager - 2-10 pm or 3-11pm EST
- Salary Range $70K - $75K (depending on experience)
ALL positions are full-time (Direct Hire) with Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits after 60 days of employment, 401K and a Yearly Bonus.
Job Summary:
- Plans, manages and directs the work of production personnel. Ensures cost effective, quality production of product according to standards.
- Assists the Production manager in their roles and responsibilities.
- Oversees daily operations and monitors production supervisors.
- Ensures cost effective, quality production of product.
- Directs subordinates in achieving compliance with all applicable quality and regulatory standards (e.g. FDA, OSHA, etc.).
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, etc.)
- Ensures GMPs, SSOPs, Lock out/Tag out and MSDS procedures are strictly followed.
- Relieves Production Manager as needed.
- Promotes positive employee relations with union.
- Issues disciplinary actions and assists supervisors with write-ups.
- Safety:
- Maintains safe working environment for all employees/contractors.
- Participates in accident investigations.
- Promote employee safety in all areas of operations.
- Sanitation:
- Ensures production personnel maintain cleanliness of the work area.
- Ensures proper G. M. P. s are followed at all times.
- Other related duties as assigned by Production Manager or Plant General Manager.
Essential Job Functions/Requirements:
Experience: Prior manufacturing experience with direct management of employees.
Education: Associate degree or Higher, completion of formal management skills training program to include certification as required (i.e. AMA, AIB, etc.), baking or industry certifications acceptable.
- Physically capable of moving to all areas of the plant. Must be capable of reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling as required in a production operation.
- Able to read and comprehend production schedule.
- Able to view product and determine adherence to quality control standards and customer needs including size, shape, color, cut, etc.
- Able to generate written and verbal communications clearly and distinctly.
- Able to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.
- Able to research, develop, implement and monitor required policies and procedures.
- Able to generate advanced, detailed reports via spreadsheets, memos/letters, email, etc. using a PC.
- Performance of other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job.
