We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Permanent Assistant Plant Manager in the Manufacturing industry. This position is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional who is ready to take on the challenge of assisting in the management of a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring that production targets are met, and that the plant operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Plant Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting the Plant Manager in the overall management and operation of the plant, ensuring that production targets are met within specified quality and cost parameters.
2. Overseeing the maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment, and coordinating with the engineering department to resolve any technical issues.
3. Implementing and maintaining safety standards and procedures in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
4. Assisting in the development and implementation of operational improvement strategies, including process optimization and waste reduction initiatives.
5. Coordinating with various departments, including production, quality control, logistics, and human resources, to ensure smooth plant operations.
6. Assisting in the training, development, and performance evaluation of plant personnel.
7. Preparing and presenting regular reports on plant performance to the Plant Manager and other senior management as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Plant Manager position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in a plant environment.
2. A degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, plant operations, and maintenance procedures.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve high performance.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions under pressure.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with staff at all levels of the organization.
7. Proficiency in the use of computer software applications, including MS Office and plant management software.
8. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
