Our company is seeking a dynamic, experienced and detail-oriented individual for the position of an Assistant Plant Manager in the manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about quality control, production, lean manufacturing, and is familiar with OSHA, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of waterproofing products, and is committed to fostering a safe, productive and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the plant, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
Implement and maintain quality control standards and procedures to ensure that all products meet the highest level of quality.
Utilize knowledge of waterproofing products in the production process.
Monitor production rates, ensuring that they align with company goals and expectations.
Employ lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, increase productivity, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, as well as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environmental and quality management system standards.
Collaborate with various departments to identify and resolve issues, improve processes, and achieve company objectives.
Train, supervise, and evaluate staff, fostering a team-oriented environment that encourages growth and development.
Participate in budget development and oversight, and manage resources effectively to achieve financial objectives.
Act as a liaison between management and staff, promoting open communication and fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
One to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the building product industry.
Proven experience with quality control, lean manufacturing, and production.
Knowledge of waterproofing products and bentonite.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environmental and quality management system standards.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Proficiency in using various software applications related to the job.
