Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Plant Manager in planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
- Oversee the daily operations of the plant, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Ensure that all products are manufactured to high quality standards and in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage the plant's production performance using SPC systems and implement necessary improvements to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment and machinery, scheduling regular inspections and servicing to prevent breakdowns and production disruptions.
- Ensure that the plant is always clean and sanitary, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of plant policies and procedures.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate staff, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties effectively and safely.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Assurance and Maintenance, to address any issues or concerns and improve overall plant performance.
- Assist in managing the plant budget and expenses, striving to minimize costs while maintaining high quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in baking, food safety, quality, sanitation, production, maintenance, management, and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
