Our dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Permanent Assistant Plant Controller. This role is critical in maintaining the financial health and success of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with audits, monthly reporting, manufacturing accounting, and ledger management. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Assistant Plant Controller, you will be responsible for:
1. Assisting with the preparation and execution of audits, ensuring all financial operations are compliant with current laws and regulations.
2. Facilitating monthly reporting, including analysis of financial data, preparation of comprehensive reports, and presentation of results to senior management.
3. Overseeing manufacturing accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
4. Managing the general ledger, maintaining accurate records, and reconciling accounts regularly.
5. Collaborating with the Plant Controller to develop budgets, financial forecasts, and cost reduction strategies.
6. Participating in cross-functional teams to improve business processes and drive efficiency.
7. Assisting in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial procedures.
8. Supporting the Plant Controller in managing financial risk and ensuring the financial integrity of the manufacturing site.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), cost accounting, and financial reporting.
4. Experience with financial audits, monthly reporting, manufacturing accounting, and ledger management.
5. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial personnel.
8. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
