About the Job
Major/Essential Functions
- Oversee the management of the Third Party & Financial Resolution areas and direct the day-to-day function in accordance with essential job duties.
- Provide detailed analysis of student account billing including recommendations for improving accounting functionality fully utilizing institutional resources. Research and develop reporting and accounting processes utilizing institutional resources to answer the needs of the department and university administration.
- Oversee and assist with reconciliations including application of payment, duplicate ID issues, inventory, collections, Third Party reporting and reconciliation loan funds and reporting.
- Maintain responsibility for all other accounting related functions for Student Business Services including oversight of monthly financial status report preparation, developing and monitoring the departmental budget (including Budget Prep entry) and other financial tasks as needed. Must meet all established deadlines.
- Provide support, as needed, to the Associate Managing Director and Managing Director of Student Business Services for the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a finance or accounting field plus 3 years experience, preferably in a college or university environment or related experience equal to.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Conflict negotiation/resolution training or demonstrated experience. Active listening; speaking service orientation; persuasion; critical thinking; coordination; social perceptiveness; reading comprehension.
