Role Summary:
The Assistant Manager works side by side with the General Manager to lead the overall operations of the restaurant on a daily basis. Specifically, this role is a leader and critical component in ensuring success in the following areas:
- Financial stewardship management through food cost, labor cost and repairs & maintenance
- Back of House and Guest Experience operations
- Leadership and people development
General Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth mentality and foster an environment of exceptional service and hospitality.
- Provide appropriate and effective training for all team members.
- Execute all operational systems daily to ensure a clean, organized restaurant, prepared to deliver quality food and service.
- Maintain high standards of service throughout the operational day by demonstrating leadership by example.
- Perform coaching and discipline for actions that do not meet Zaxby's standards and execute disciplinary documentation for all team members who fail to meet expectations.
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Open and/or close the restaurant leading the shift as a key holder.
- Assist in the interviewing and hiring process for new team members.
- Utilize all management tools to keep neat, accurate and current records.
- Ensure all team members are knowledgeable of the policies and procedures by constantly asking questions, testing and monitoring their performance and giving timely feedback

- Experience as a leader in food service operations
- Years of Experience: 2
- Skilled in time management

- Must be able to master all knowledge and skills of every position in the restaurant
