Position Overview:
The Assistant Manager role is more than just a job it's an opportunity.Assistant Managers (AM) are the Aces among all team members and are responsible for shift management; running shift operations as well as overseeing team member efforts and activities in order to achieve desired goals.AMs ensure operational excellence throughout the restaurant by directing Team Members to perform their checklists and other tasks at ever-increasing levels of proficiency and efficiency.They also guarantee that every team member is demonstrating Remarkable Experiences all day, every day.AMs create the daily setup sheet, define team member placement, and ensure all team members are completing assigned responsibilities per the positional checklists. AMs are responsible for ensuring an exceptionally smooth, highly efficient shift.
Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Profitability
- Properly manage assigned assets (equipment, cash, product, etc)
Guest
- Provide attentive and courteous customer service
- Deliver WOW experiences to all Guests
- Go beyond everyday expectations
- Display a continuous positive attitude with guests
People
- Direct team efforts in order to achieve company goals (sales, profit, etc.)
- Hold team accountable for their responsibilities
- Assign shift duties
- Manage team member breaks
- Develop a team mindset focused on excellence
- Enthusiastically and optimistically lead all team members
- Conduct shift huddles - constantly assess and communicate shift efforts
Operations
- Execute operational excellence - speed of service, food quality and order accuracy
- Verify team members complete assigned positional tasks
- Drive team members to maintain an exceptionally clean restaurant
- Operate cash register, tray/bag orders, drive thru headset, dining room cleaning/host
- Perform duties of the Team Member when necessary
- Creating a weekly schedule that includes maintaining the allowed labor percentage
- Placing the restaurants truck order based off of the inventory and restaurant build to
- Counting daily, weekly, and monthly inventory as needed accurately
Qualifications and Skills:
- Be of strong values, ethics, & integrity
- Previous leadership experience with solid employment longevity
- Proven excellence in carrying out duties and responsibilities
- Driven, results oriented, and highly knowledgeable of operations strategies
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed for proper functioning of the restaurant
- Servsafe food safety and level 2 certification required
