Sterling Office Professionals has teamed up with our client in the Greater Pittsburgh area in search of an Assistant Manager Production for an HVAC company.
Job Details:
- Contract to Hire
- Daylight Shift
- Pay 45,000 – 65,000
Duties/Responsibilities:
- The Assistant Manager Production performs the following tasks:
- Overseeing and directing HVAC projects from conception to completion.
- Supervise different tasks in the pursuit of completing an HVAC project.
- Responsible for the flow of information from project inception to the team regarding the project.
- HVAC installation and service scheduling.
- Utilize internal and external software for scheduling, pricing, purchasing, and project completion and reporting.
- Management of HVAC design and installation.
- Manage employees, crew configurations, and assignments.
- Communicate effectively to all members of the organization and PHC customers.
- Recruit, hire, train, and terminate.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems during installation and service.
- Manage/Purchase HVAC parts, materials, and equipment and their delivery.
- Complete accounting and bookkeeping ask and ensure project profitability.
Education and Experience:
- The Assistant Manager position requires a BS degree in business management
- The ability to learn and grow with the position, as well as be Microsoft Office competent.
Additional Requirements:
- The position of the Assistant Manager Position requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Ability to perform physical indoor/outdoor activities.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform required tasks. Ability to lift and carry material.
- Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of a variety of hand tools, machines, and other equipment used in HVAC work.
- Proven working experience in construction, manufacturing process, or other general labor.
- Ability to communicate effectively by way of email, text, telephone, or in person.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Leadership and human resources management skills.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- The ability to complete work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other employees/take directions and communicate effectively.
