The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for managing duties in the housekeeping department. This includes inspecting guest rooms, counseling and interviewing employees, resolving guest complaints, general office duties, etc. If you are excited to join a great team and new opportunity apply now!
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Direction:
· Provide strong leadership and direction to all subordinates within the department, ensuring a cohesive and productive team environment.
Decision-Making and Attention to Detail:
· Demonstrate keen attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions, even in demanding and fast-paced environments.
Staff Training and Management:
· Train, motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline staff according to the Inn's written policies and procedures, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
Operational Coordination:
· Coordinate room readiness with front office and maintenance departments, ensuring seamless guest arrivals and fulfilling service requests promptly.
Quality Assurance and Inspections:
· Conduct property inspections of all rooms, including out-of-service, VIP, and cleaned rooms, to uphold and maintain quality standards consistently.
Task Delegation and Supervision:
· Provide clear direction to housekeeping and laundry staff, delegating workload effectively to maximize productivity and ensure guest satisfaction.
Chemical and Supply Management:
· Monitor and ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies, providing comprehensive training to employees and adhering to safety protocols.
Reporting and Communication:
· Report any issues related to furniture, fixtures, décor needs, etc., promptly to relevant departments for resolution.
Adaptability and Flexibility:
· Perform any other duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility to meet the needs of the Inn's operations effectively.
What you will bring:
- Thorough knowledge of property, space, and housekeeping processes.
- Minimum of 1-year hotel experience
- Excellent communication skills, as well as basic computer skills.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability, to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, walk many step per day and stand for prolonged periods
- Bilingual language Prefered
