CaroMont Health is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Manager to work Day shifts within our Electrophysiology (EP) Lab team at the CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC!
Assistant Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical and administrative leadership for the Electrophysiology Labs.
- Responsible for coordination of patient care and departmental activities consistent with the corporate, division and departmental mission statement and values, and in accordance with approved policies and guidelines.
- Responsible for direct supervision of staff, staff scheduling, and scheduling of equipment maintenance or repairs.
- Reports data and implements quality improvement or staff education initiatives.
- Helps support the growth and development of the EP Program.
- Works collaboratively with inpatient nursing, other procedural departments (Cath Lab, CVSS, OR, PACU, etc.), and CaroMont Heart & Vascular ambulatory staff.
- The EP Lab Assistant Manager will maintain all clinical competencies and continuing education that is required for staff working in the EP Lab.
- Responsible for additional specified task assigned by the manager or director, in addition to participating in routine daily operations and workflow within the lab.
- *This position is NOT required to take STEMI call.*
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate degree from a recognized college or university REQUIRED
- Two (2) years of EP Lab experience REQUIRED
- Specialty certification preferred.
- If RN, MUST have current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
- If CV Tech, MUST have registry or certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist.
- BLS/ACLS certification REQUIRED
- Must be able to communicate tactfully and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, physicians, ancillary professionals and families for positive results and outcomes.
- Must demonstrate considerable ability to manage, coach and provide a motivated environment.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate significant flexibility when managing multiple priorities.
- Considerable ability to accept new responsibilities as new equipment/procedures are introduced.
