Job Description
Peak Rentals’ Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the manager of operations and ensure quality customer service to our vendors and customers. The Assistant Manager will coordinate field activities, manage employees, jobs and daily reporting.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Maintain transportation fleet in a manner that ensures the safety and protection of employees, clients and general public including the environment.
- Conducting periodic inspections.
- Reviewing daily pre and post-trip reports.
- Correcting identified deficiencies.
- Scheduling and oversight and major repairs.
- Completing required documentation.
- Excellent communication will be required; Open communication with management on status of repairs and/or maintenance.
- Ensuring a clean, safe work environment at all times.
- Maintaining shop and field maintenance equipment including periodic calibration where required.
- Identifying and maintaining an inventory of high-use, common maintenance items.
- Function “on-call” in order to respond to emergency call-outs.
- Controlling costs of in-house and outsourced maintenance or repairs through use of warranty and vendor evaluation.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Must possess valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Select’s insurance guidelines.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must be proficient with MS Office.
- 5 - 10 years of related work experience.
- Strong problem solving ability with customers, personnel, operations, and chemical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Physical Demands and Exposures
- This position works inside a climate-controlled environment, with frequent trips to locations in outside weather conditions. The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
- Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm, Overtime when required.
- Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
