We have an opportunity for an Assistant Manager of Brand Communications/Publicity to join our team. This person plays a pivotal role in supporting Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast’s brand initiatives by assisting with publicity, media relations, press events and fan relations. This position involves collaborating with our teams to implement strategic publicity efforts, manage global and U.S. media relations, and coordinate various brand events, such as product launches, press junkets, celebrity activations and fan conventions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about news, possesses exceptional writing skills, and has a profound knowledge of current media trends, pop culture, and social media!

This is a hybrid position and requires the ability to work onsite in our Pawtucket, RI office 3 days per week.

A day in the life as an Assistant Manager, Brand Communications/Publicity:

• Help coordinate media relations strategies and activities from PR agency media relations plans to special events.
• Deliver quality press coverage of Hasbro brand initiatives in a wide range of media outlets while being responsible for global and U.S. priorities and budgets.
• Assist in planning and execution of brand and product launches, movie press junkets, consumer events, press-only product previews, fan conventions, management of internal and external vendors.
• Support the communications strategy and execution of fan relations for relevant brands.
• Assist the team with administrative projects such as coordinating product mailings, ordering products, maintaining Brand Comms calendar of events, opening purchase orders for projects, drafting and routing press materials, monitoring and reporting media results.

What you'll brin

• 1-3 years of dynamic experience in a public relations agency or public relations department, preferably supporting global initiatives and consumer products.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a focus in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
• Excellent writing & communication skills.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of social media and its evolving landscape. Knowledge of current events, new landscape, trends and pop culture.

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

• Starting Pay Range: $24.70 per hour
• Pay Range End: $37.10 per hour
