Job Purpose
The role is pivotal in supporting Acura’s corporate objectives related to Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) retail sales and profitability. This position collaborates with various departments, divisions, and external vendors to drive success. Additionally, the role includes serving as the Large Project Lead (LPL) for several national projects.
This role is integral to the creation and dissemination of national sales and incentive strategies to Executive management. It is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights, helping Acura achieve its sales goals to maintain a competitive advantage in the pre-owned vehicle market and mitigate AHM risk through compliance of established policy processes. By combining analytical skills with strategic oversight, the Assistant Manager will contribute significantly to the success of AHM’s Used Car business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Incentives : Identify and create regional incentive opportunities to boost sales performance.
- Presentation Development : Generate PowerPoint presentations for executive review, summarizing insights and recommendations to support AHM's retail and wholesale objectives.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration : Partner with multiple departments, divisions, and external vendors to ensure comprehensive strategy implementation. (Tekion, CarFax, FMR, COX, FieldLink, JDP, Urban Science, S&P)
- Project Management : Act as the Large Project Lead (LPL) for several national initiatives, ensuring projects are executed effectively and aligned with corporate goals.
- Team Management : Oversee the CPO analyst and manage processes for accurate data collection, processing, and analysis.
Key Accountabilities
- Achieve or exceed FY/CY sales objectives for Acura Certified Pre-Owned sales through effective analytics that result in actionable business tactics.
- Forecasting (National, Zone & Dealer) – Provides accuracy, insight, suggestions & recommendations based on several data sources
- Manage the creation of analytics and dashboard data to forecast market trends (competitive sales, lease returns, rates, and budgets) to inform incentive strategy development
- Partner with multiple Departments to discuss & confirm business objectives
- Assemble PowerPoint presentations for executive review & approval
- Effective Communications (Emails, Conference calls, Phone calls, etc.) and provide support to Zone Management teams
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- BA/BS Business Analytics, Math/Statistics, Business Intelligence, Accounting Required
- MBA/MS+, emphasis on Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Information Technology or Data Analytics Preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in a position tracking, managing, analysing, and drawing insights from data
- Market research experience in terms of market data collection and analysis, discovery, and insights
- Understanding and experience using analytical concepts, forecasting, and statistical techniques to develop recommendations for business units
- Big data, working with and creating usable databases and dashboards
- Strong communication, story development and presentation skills
- Sales/dealer business experience to ensure that data, analysis, and findings are impactful in terms of real-world application
- Experience leading cross-functional/collaborative teams
- Problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Statistical modeling and forecasting
- PDCA training, implementation skills, and experience
- Detail orientation, self-motivation, and comprehensive follow-through
