About the Job
As an Assistant Manager, you are an important member of the team and will be supported with the tools and training needed to succeed in our dynamic organization. This position reports to the General Manager of the restaurant.
An Assistant Manager's responsibilities are to supervise and train team members, maintain appropriate inventory levels, ensure customer satisfaction and implement quality improvements. The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in ensuring delivery of guest satisfaction through managing the daily operations of a single restaurant. The Assistant Manager helps manage financial controls, operations, people development, guest service and compliance across shifts for desired restaurant outcomes (i.e., increased sales, profitability and employee selection and retention). The Assistant Manager has full accountability for restaurant operations in the absence of the General Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Directs efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery within established speed of service guidelines
- Motivates and directs Team Members and Shift Leads to exceed guest expectations in the areas of Quality, Service and Cleanliness
- Supervises and trains Team Members and Shift Leads on team stations, Burger King products, processes and policies
- Follows cash control/security procedures and helps to implement marketing plans, maintain inventory, manage labor, and apply financial reports across shifts to enhance restaurant results
- Assists the General Manager in enforcing compliance with government regulations, Burger King Market Policy, employment law, food safety, Burger King Security Policy, operations, and Tasty King policies and procedures relating to all restaurant activities across shifts
- As part of the restaurant management team, recruits, trains and works to retain effective team talent, by making recommendations on hiring and advancement
- Makes recommendations on the discipline and termination of Team Members
- Promptly and regularly attends assigned shifts, meetings and training
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule
- Stand for up to 8 hours during a shift and be able to lift 30 to 50 pounds
- Requires use of motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
