What this Position Does: Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Technicians by maintaining efficient operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds. Diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliance.
The Day-to-Day Responsibilities This Person will be Overseeing:
Perform routine maintenance punch on vacant units prior to new resident occupancy.
Clean work area, tools and equipment. Care, maintain, and inventory all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.
Adhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.
Maintain the required property uniform and ensure a professional appearance at all times.
May perform make ready and or porter duties as required, based on property size.
Keep pools, fountains, hot tubs, and other amenity areas in clean and operable condition.
Qualifications Involved with the Position: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
What Education and/or Experience You Will Bring to the Table: High school diploma, GED, or similar experience is required.
Computer Skills and/or Office Equipment Knowledge:Working knowledge of calculator, telephone, and email system.
Communication Skills Involved with the Position: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively communicate with residents, vendors, and contractors.
Analytical Abilities this Person Will Bring to the Table: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to solve problems independently and effectively.
