This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Laboratory Technician for our Atlanta, GA office. Be involved in projects with our Laboratory Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
+ Perform laboratory testing on soils, concrete, aggregate, asphalt and similar materials according to testing requirements, contract specifications and AASHTO/ASTM or GDOT testing procedures.
+ Document all test results using prescribed forms and spreadsheets
+ Keep supervisor informed of all test results and schedule
+ Follow all prescribed quality and technical requirements as identified during training
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
+ Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Willing to achieve certification through outside agencies (i.e. ACI, NICET, etc.)
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
+ Valid state driver’s license.
+ Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening
Preferred Qualifications
+ Willing to cross-train to perform field testing and get required certifications
+ Willing to work flexible hours to meet schedule needs
