Job Description
The Assistant Interior Designer will work alongside the Interior Designer to help execute interior design projects. The role involves a mix of creative, administrative, and technical tasks to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet client and/or ownership’s expectations. The Assistant Interior Designer will assist in all phases of the design process, from curating line-ups and drawing layouts to final installation review. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for interior design and be eager to learn while supporting the team to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities
Objectives of this Role:
- Assist the Interior Designer in day-to-day duties to help execute design projects in a clear manner and efficient timeline.
- Anticipate client/ownership needs, offer tailored design solutions, and convey comprehensive product knowledge, ensuring a seamless integration of interior design into the build process.
- Stay informed about local real estate trends and interior design trends, continuously learning and adapting to offer clients and ownership the latest in design aesthetics.
- Collaborate closely with the Thrive Realty team and internal departments to optimize operations for maximum efficiency.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Interior Designer to develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentations.
- Prepare project drawings, plans, and layouts.
- Help with material and sample sourcing, including organizing samples, and maintaining the design centers.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for material sourcing.
- Support the team with on-site visits, taking photos, and documenting progress.
- Assist in creating client/ownership presentations and documentation, ensuring design intent is communicated clearly.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, taking notes, updating project timelines, and managing correspondence.
- Conduct research on design trends, products, and solutions to bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Conduct market research to identify potential materials for selection of the new construction homes and for lease units, incorporating insights into design strategies.
- Collaborate with the Thrive Realty team to organize open houses and events, integrating interior design elements to attract potential buyers and showcase available properties.
- Stage models.
- Analyze market data and sales metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies, incorporating interior design feedback into adjustments and improvements.
- Participate actively in meetings with internal departments such as marketing, finance, and construction, providing insights into the integration of interior design into client experiences.
- Review and update client databases and CRM systems to ensure accurate records of interactions and transactions, incorporating interior design preferences and selections.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, real estate, interior design, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, can effectively convey complex information to clients and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients while integrating interior design feedback.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Adaptability and resilience to navigate challenges and effectively address company and client needs in dynamic market conditions.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying informed about industry best practices, emerging trends in both real estate and interior design domains.
- Basic knowledge of materials, finishes, and vendors is preferred.
- Prior experience or internships in interior design is a plus.
