Relationship Building and Professional Conduct:
- Foster positive and trusting relationships with students through close, professional, and emotionally supportive interactions.
- Serve as a mentor and guide in the therapeutic progression of each student, adapting support to individual needs.
- Maintain a professional care giving demeanor while cultivating relationships with students, parents, coworkers, and stakeholders.
Clinical Treatment Implementation:
- Implement clinical treatment plans outlined by the Treatment Team, ensuring alignment with each student's unique needs and goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate clinical strategies into daily interactions and activities.
- Regularly assess and adjust treatment plans based on each student's evolving needs and progress, ensuring a dynamic and responsive approach.
Paperwork - Shift Reports, Incident Reports, and Communication:
- Participate in generating content for blogs.
- Consistently and timely complete shift reports, meeting quality requirements.
- Complete incident reports promptly and meet quality standards.
- Read and respond to emails during each shift.
- Upload pictures on the Parent Portal, maintaining a visual record of students' activities and progress.
- Update the Privilege Tracker Sheet, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Ensure bigger activities have special activity requests documented and processed.
Environmental Management and Program Fidelity:
- Ensure a healthy, comfortable, and safe environment supporting students' emotional and physical well-being as outlined in the program.
- Foster a care giving atmosphere that encourages trust, cooperation, and a sense of community among residents.
- Uphold cleanliness and upkeep standards following the Three Areas of Wellness.
- Maintain program fidelity by adhering to established guidelines and procedures, ensuring the consistent implementation of program elements to achieve desired outcomes.
- Implement and oversee initiatives to enhance the overall living environment, considering aesthetics, safety, and communal spaces.
Recreational and Therapeutic Activities:
- Actively engage in all activities with students, providing encouragement and support for skill development.
- Facilitate and participate in recreational and therapeutic activities, including sports, bike riding, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, and other team-building exercises.
- Develop and organize a calendar of engaging activities, ensuring various options that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the student population.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive activity calendar, incorporating home-scheduled activities, group therapy, off-campus events, and school-free days.
- Ensure the plan is followed, providing a structured and engaging environment for the students.
- Actively participate in all programming activities, fostering a sense of community and inclusion.
Mediation and Intervention Techniques:
- Utilize a variety of mediation and intervention techniques to deescalate and redirect students during moments of heightened stress or emotional distress.
- Maintain a student-centered focus by setting aside personal emotions to offer dedicated support.
- Receive ongoing training to stay current on trauma-informed care and intervention best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory training and documentation requirements.
Transportation Coordination:
- Safely transport students to and from off-campus appointments and activities using company vehicles.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during transportation to ensure the well-being of students.
- Ensure cleanliness and promptly report any issues to maintenance for company vehicles.
- Oversee the logistics of transportation coordination, ensuring efficient scheduling, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Home Administrative and Leadership Responsibilities:
- Uphold home cleanliness standards through daily spot checks and meticulous organization of the safety closet.
- Conduct thorough weekly run-throughs to address and prioritize maintenance requests promptly.
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of sheets and bedding to create a comfortable and welcoming space for students.
- Actively participate in Treatment Team meetings, engaging in preparation work, student communication, feedback, and additional assignments (TPR).
- Communicate effectively with the Treatment Team, ensuring seamless conveyance of treatment plans to the home team.
- Perform Lead-Down responsibilities, ensuring a seamless flow of information from the treatment team to the home team.
- Provide regular and informative Student Updates to keep all stakeholders informed and involved.
- Facilitate essential parent communication, including Social Calls, with a commitment to prompt responsiveness.
- Contribute to the Parent Portal's vibrancy by creating engaging and informative content.
- Foster smooth interdepartmental communication, collaborating with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Nutrition, Nursing, HR ect
- Attend programmatic interdisciplinary meetings as requested.
- Lead and actively participate in various home leadership activities, including enrollments, discharges, tours, and meticulous activity planning.
- Conduct effective team meetings, one-on-one sessions, and quarterly home meetings to promote cohesion and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate commitment by attending all required training and meetings, contributing to the ongoing development of your team.
- Participate in Academy Off sites and campus wide activities, contributing to the overall mission and community engagement.
Operational Oversight:
- Monitor overtime and work with leadership to address staffing needs and concerns.
- Coordinate and attend Programmatic Activities, * Group therapy, activities, ect
- Assist in arranging campus wide activities, contributing to a vibrant and inclusive environment.
- Attend Shift Change and post-shift meetings to ensure seamless communication and coordination among team members.
- Collaborate with the Residential Leadership to find coverage for sick or emergency calls, ensuring continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to parent emails, ensuring effective communication and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
Peer Evaluations and Performance Management:
- Conduct regular peer evaluations to assess team performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Proactively lead the team in setting quarterly goals and initiatives aimed at fostering innovation and achieving excellence in service delivery.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement, implement creative solutions, and introduce innovative practices to enhance overall performance.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills by presenting and reporting on the success of implemented initiatives and achieved goals.
- Utilize comprehensive data analysis and engaging visuals to highlight the impact of innovations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the team.
- Conduct bi-monthly one-on-one sessions with team members to address concerns, provide support, and discuss professional development opportunities.
Incident Management:
- Oversee and ensure the timely completion of incident reports and restitution forms.
- Respond to major home incidents on a PRN basis, coordinating with the Treatment Team and relevant stakeholders.
Personnel Management:
- Assist with hiring and onboarding processes, contributing to the growth and development of the team.
- Handle disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
All Other Duties as Assigned:
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management to contribute to the overall success of the team and organization.
