Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team at Twelve Midtown Marriott Autograph Collection. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve hotel objectives and revenue goals.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize operational efficiency and guest satisfaction across all areas, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, and maintenance.
- Lead by example in providing exceptional guest service and resolving guest issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing a talented team of hospitality professionals, fostering a positive work environment and culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and local regulations to uphold the hotel's reputation and integrity.
- Foster positive relationships with guests, associates, vendors, and local community stakeholders to enhance the hotel's reputation and drive business growth.
- Act as the General Manager's representative in their absence, making decisions and resolving issues as needed to uphold operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years with the Marriott brand.
- Proven track record of driving guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and operational excellence in a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve common goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
- Solid understanding of hotel financials, revenue management principles, and industry trends.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Opera, PMS and other relevant software applications.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
