Assistant General Manager - Retail Dispensary - Reverie 73

About the Job
Overview / Objectives:
- Work with the General Manager to oversee the dispensary's efficient and compliant operation.
- Ensure all customer needs and concerns are addressed for maximum customer satisfaction.
- Develop a professional team passionate and knowledgeable about cannabis.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager with overall dispensary management and compliant operations.
- Execute dispensary opening and closing procedures.
- Activate or deactivate the dispensary alarm.
- Maintain surveillance equipment and
- Move product inventory out of or into the vault at shift start or end.
- Ensure equipment including computers, scales, printers, and fax machines are in working
- Oversee Sales Leads or personally address:
- Product and display arrangements.
- Inventory control, delivery intake, stocking shelves, and relevant data entry.
- Store security.
- Notify the City's Emergency Services (911) of any emergency event that may require an immediate response.
- Daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Inventory levels and ordering for all fulfillment, facility, and office supplies.
- General Muse support.
- Maintain a current and thorough understanding of Massachusetts state laws and regulations governing cannabis.
- Partner with Compliance personnel to ensure dispensary operations are carried out in compliance with CMR 500.105 and 500.140.
- Cross-train Muses to be able to execute sales / customer service, fulfillment, and security responsibilities in a compliant and effective manner.
- Confirm inventory control, stocking shelves, and data entry are executed properly.
- Conduct OR Review and sign off on 30-day inventory and security audits.
- Purchase cannabis product accessories - rolling papers, pipes, glass, etc.
- Complete a 4-hour responsible vendor training and 4 hours annually of job-specific training.
- Handle any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Education and work experience -
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
- 4+ years' experience in a fast-paced client-service intensive industry.
- 4+ years' experience in a leadership role.
- 2+ years' experience in a retail cannabis sales or leadership role.
- Previous dispensary experience helpful.
- Bilingual or multilingual a plus but not required.
- Knowledge and skills -
- Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate effectively and politely to all colleagues, community members, and customers.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in accurate cash management and inventory control.
- Previous experience with Electronic POS (Point of Sale), inventory systems, METRC, and/or other Seed to Sale software preferred but not required.
- Ability to work as both a leader and team member.
- Requirements -
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Able to successfully pass an extensive background check.
- Must provide 1 professional and 1 personal reference.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current Marijuana Establishment Agent Registration Card.
- Willing to work differing shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Willing to attend events outside of the dispensary including but not limited to - trade shows, company sponsored events, required on and off-site training, etc.
