Location: Chicago, IL - Downtown
Salary: $70K - $75K

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at a high-end casual restaurant. This pivotal role requires a professional with a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant industry, exemplary leadership skills, and dedication to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate with staff to maintain a seamless workflow and uphold high standards of service and food quality.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a dedicated team of professionals. Foster a collaborative and motivated environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience by maintaining high levels of service and addressing any customer inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
- Quality Control & Safety: Monitor food safety and quality standards. Implement and maintain health, hygiene, and safety protocols in compliance with industry regulations.
- Financial Oversight: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Work alongside the General Manager to optimize restaurant profitability and performance.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by effectively managing unexpected challenges and resolving issues swiftly to minimize impact on operations.
- Technology & Systems: Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software to streamline operations. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in transaction processing and stock management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of management/supervisory experience in the restaurant industry, preferably within a high-end or upscale casual setting.
- Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire staff and customers alike.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in POS systems and knowledge of inventory management software.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality customer service and fostering a positive dining atmosphere.
