Chick-fil-A Assistant General Manager (AGM) Job Description:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for helping the general manager
oversee a business’ day-to-day operations.
One who consistently demonstrates the company’s core values and embraces
the company culture. The AGM will assist
with training, recruiting, promotions and planning. An AGM should be experienced in a supervisory
role and be able to confidently deliver performance feedback. They should help set goals, foster teamwork
and clearly communicate business objectives.
The AGM must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
Responsibilities
Managing Tasks:
· Collaborate with the General Manager: Assist with various tasks, including project planning and staff management.
· Foster Positive Working Relationships: Build and maintain good rapport with the staff.
· Place Food Truck Orders: Ensure timely and accurate ordering of food truck supplies.
· Order Supplies: Manage inventory and order necessary supplies.
· Handle Disputes: Address and resolve conflicts effectively.
Training/Policies:
· Assist with Coaching and Training: Help onboard and train new employees.
· Ensure Daily Operations: Make sure the restaurant is open and adequately staffed each day.
· Maintain Cleanliness and Inventory: Ensure the restaurant is clean, inventory levels are appropriate, and equipment is functioning properly.
· Promote Safety: Ensure and advocate for food and team safety.
· Support Operations During Peak Times: Work in operations during busy periods to foster unity and identify improvement opportunities.
· Fill Leadership Gaps: Step in when other leadership is absent.
· Resolve Conflicts: Address and resolve conflicts effectively.
Communication:
· Daily Communication with General Manager: Maintain regular, daily communication with the General Manager.
· Effective Leadership Communication: Ensure clear and effective communication with leadership.
· Solution-Focused: Maintain a focus on finding and implementing solutions.
· CARE Team Communication: Ensure proper communication within the CARE teams.
· Stay Updated: Remain current and active with all Chick-fil-A Licensing emails.
· Review Food Safety Reports: Collaborate with the Leadership team to review Food Safety Reports.
· Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between employees and upper management.
Execution of Business Plan:
· Collaborate on Schedules: Coordinate schedules for team members.
· Oversee Performance: Monitor staff and process performance.
· Maintain Facilities and Equipment: Ensure the Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Program is followed.
· Address Disciplinary Issues: Handle disciplinary matters effectively.
· Monitor Shifts: Supervise shifts to ensure smooth operations.
· Analyze Reports: Review Food and Labor Cost reports with leaders, identify opportunities, and create action plans for the month.
· Track Progress: Monitor progress on Pathways.
· Deliver Operational Excellence: Ensure operational excellence in all areas of the restaurant to provide a remarkable customer experience.
Requirements:
· Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
· Strong Verbal Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills.
· Dependable and Motivated: Strong work ethic and reliability.
· Track Record of Success: Demonstrated career growth and success in previous roles.
· Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
· Comprehensive Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of all areas in the restaurant.
· Organizational Skills: Ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects under pressure.
· Discretion and Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and confidentiality.
· QSR Experience: Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience preferred.
· Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in a leadership role.
· ServeSafe Certification: Required certification.
· Shift Flexibility: Ability to work minimum 9-hour shifts with open availability.
· Varied Shifts: Able to work mornings, days, evenings, and Saturdays.
· Holiday Availability: Willingness to work on holidays.
Salary range: $50,000-$57,000
