Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Purpose
The General Manager is responsible for providing leadership for all essential branch activities for the service division including P&L management, personnel management and training, and facilities management. A solid candidate will be a strong problem solver, able to generate and implement strategic decisions through the use of analysis and experience, and is results driven.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage day-to-day operational decision making within a fast-paced business
- Increase sales and gross margin and meet sales goals
- Effectively control costs
- Generate the planned return on investment
- Build and train your team
- Project staffing needs based on demands and work closely with Human Resources to recruit top talent
- Execute and follow through with branch plans
- Identify and implement initiatives that are well-aligned with the company's strategic plan
- Embrace, support and practice a collaborative style in order to achieve results with and through others
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Highly motivated to get things done the right away
- Excellent communication skills, listening, speaking, writing
- Highly confident and persuasive
- Must enjoy being constantly challenged
- Proficient with smartphones, computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Must live within the branch territory
- Strong financial acumen - must feel comfortable using Key Performance metrics and financial statements to manage the business and excel as a leader
