Position Overview:
As an Assistant General Manager, you will work directly under our General Manager to run the day to day operations for the restaurant. You will be a mentor, coach, and leader that our BOH and FOH teams will want to emulate. AGMs need to be masters of the FOH and BOH while understanding how to impact and enhance our guest experience. This role will be responsible for managing and organizing our catering orders with a high attention to detail and accuracy while ensuring prep is properly allocated. At PURALIMA we are committed to growing our leaders from within and the Assistant General Manager role was created for those individuals that we believe have the potential to run their own PURALIMA someday.
Assistant General Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- In charge of day to day operations of the restaurant
- Create and maintain a culture where teammates have the opportunity to learn and grow
- Recruit, interview, and hire the right talent for PURALIMA, with a focus on finding and developing future leaders
- Quickly improve or remove low performers through coaching and documentation
- Motivate, inspire, and challenge team to consistently achieve and surpass company goals and standards
- Execute, control and direct the preparation of all food which includes necessary process for food safety and quality control
- Manage and oversee the production and completion of catering orders
- Connect and build relationships through the ability to resolve conflict in a prompt and professional manner
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and well stocked
- Equipment is properly maintained and in good condition
- Monitor COGS, food waste, inventory levels, and resolving any food quality or safety issue
- Live and represent the PURALIMA brand day in and out
Job Requirements:
- Minimum
- 1-2 years previous management/supervisory experience
- Advanced knife skills
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Able to stand for long periods of time and work in fast-pace environment
- Full-time availability with a flexible schedule
- Preferred
- Management experience in the restaurant industry
- 1-2 years of kitchen experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
