Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. The Assistant General Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.
Role & Responsibilities
· Assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of the bakery/restaurant, including but not limited to, staff supervision, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.
· Supervise and train staff members, ensuring they deliver top-notch service and adhere to company policies and procedures.
· Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall dining experience.
· Oversee inventory control, ordering, and receiving to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
· Assist in creating and implementing marketing initiatives, promotions, and events to attract and retain customers.
· Monitor financial performance, including revenue and expenses, and contribute to budget planning and forecasting.
· Stay updated on industry trends, competition, and market demands to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
· Support the General Manager in any other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
· Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in the food service industry, preferably in a bakery/restaurant environment.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, staff, and vendors.
· Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
· Proficiency in basic computer software and point-of-sale systems.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
