Concordia University Chicago invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach. We are requesting this person be qualified to lead the defensive planning, with the assistance of the Head Coach. The position will be responsible for recruitment of qualified student athletes for the football program. This 12-month position includes, ensuring compliance with CUC, NACC, and NCAA Division III rules. Individual must be able to recruit academically qualified and athletically competitive student-athletes and to motivate them to realize their potential in the classroom and on the field.
Because of the inherent visibility of collegiate athletics on campus and in the greater community, it is expected that the coach will display excellent communication skills, Christian principles, and exhibit teamwork with other academic, student life and administrative divisions of the College and be an ardent supporter of the mission of the University.
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Work with Head Coach to develop game plan on the defensive team
- Defensive Coordinator
- Help develop individual players
- Help recruit under the direction of recruitment coordinator
- Support recruitment of quality student athletes for the FB program
- Promote positive student athlete experience at home events
- Connect with Football Alumni
- Promote the mission of the University
