Our client, a respected organization located in Hartford, is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join their team. This position is ideal for a finance professional looking to take on a leadership role and contribute to the company’s financial success.

About the Role

The Assistant Finance Manager will work closely with the Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with reporting standards, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.

Location: Hartford (Free access to Parking Garage)
Compensation: $120-$135K

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Support audits, ensuring all required documentation is prepared and accessible.
• Train and mentor junior staff to foster professional growth within the team.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
