Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Facilities & Security Officer to join our team, responsible for overseeing security and facilities functions at our Chesapeake office location. In this role, youwill work closely with the Facilities Security Officer (FSO) and Facilities Manager to manageday-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with government and corporate requirements for Department of Defense (DoD) programs and personnel. Your primary focus will be supporting the established security program, while also managing facilities function at the assigned office building to meet the needs of employees, visitors and customers both onsiteandremotely.This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety and efficiency ofourworkplace environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining security clearances using DISS and NBIS for facility-level and below requirements, and process personnel security clearances to include visit requests.
- Assist in submitting Electronic Application (eApp) both digitally and in hard copy format.
- Assistinthedevelopmentandexecutionofsecuritytrainingandbriefingsasdirectedby the FSO and maintain compliance records in line with DCSA requirements.
- Understand and support implementation of federal security regulations that apply to companyoperations,ensuringthesafeguardingofclassifiedandControlledUnclassified Information (CUI).
- Assist with the preparation and administration of documents required for personnel to obtainappropriatebadgingandaccesstogovernmentfacilitiesandproperty,including VAL, Courier Cards, and SAAR forms.
- CollaborateswithgovernmentcustomersonsecurityrelatedissuesasdirectedbyFSOor Sr. management.
- Manage and monitor building access control and security including managing access cards,visitorlogs,visitrequests,verifyingidentificationandcontrollingaccesstosensitive areas
- Support the Facilities Manager with overseeing and maintaining the integrity of Chesapeakefacility,includingcustodialfunctionsandregularfacilitiesinspections.
- Conductassetauditsandinventorycheckstoensurecompliancewithworkplacesafety requirements.
- Assist with procurement, tracking, and oversight of all organization shipping requirements
- Maintaintracking andentry ofall office andfacilities relatedexpenses in JAMIS.
- Coordinate vendor contracts, and procurement of supplies and services specific to Chesapeakelocationincludingverificationofworkcompletedbyvendorsandcontractors.
- Completes projects and special assignments by establishing objectives; determining priorities; managing time; gaining cooperation of others; monitoring progress; problem-solving; making adjustments to plans.
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient company operations; Handling office tasks, such as filing, generating reports and presentations, setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies
- Performs miscellaneous clerical and administrative tasks as needed by the Executive team
Basic Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent DoD experience
- Must be eligible for or have active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
- Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions
- Knowledge of Facilities Security programs and regulations
- Demonstratedknowledgeofgeneralmaintenancemethods,operatingrequirements,and safety precautions related to facilities management
- Organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter
- Strong procurement and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated analytical and time-management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as an active member of a team
- Demonstratedexcellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills;theabilitytocall, connect, and interact with potential customers
- Able to professionally and confidently communicate with Executives
- CertificationforFSOProgramManagementforPossessingFacilitiesmustbecompleted within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- DoD Security experience
- Ability to develop, institute and maintain new processes
- Abilityto effectivelyprioritize andexecute tasksin adynamic environment
- Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent professional level experience
- 2+ years’ Government program experience
- Strong customer service orientation
