Job Summary
The Assistant Facilities Manager will assist in the administration and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment, and the procurement of generate utilities and their distribution systems. Works under the direction of Director of Plant Operations and Maintenance.
The Assistant Facilities Manager is guided by a comprehensive and proven skill in one trade as evident by possession of an appropriate license from the state (if state offers Journeyman license incumbent may be required to provide copy). Within the incumbent’s chosen trade, he/she will be able to work independently to analyze and correct complex problems, ensure that non - license workers perform work, in a manner consistent with correct work practices. Help determine manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs or projects
Learns and utilizes the site CMMS. Update work status and document tasks completed in the CMMS utilizing a mobile device. Critical information is updated in real time. Attention to detail is vital to our day-to-day operations.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience Required:
At least two years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling. Ability to read and understands blueprints and schematics. Four years of management work experience, or other completion of advanced courses related to management skills and to engineering and the functions of the department. The ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions in writing and verbally. Must also have adequate knowledge of basic computer skills.
Equipment, Machine, And Manual Skills Required:
Good physical condition and ability to operate departmental equipment.
