Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the incumbent will help create and execute management, administrative, and clinical policies and procedures, and actively engage in the organizational tasks of the facility and department. In charge of overseeing the daily operations aimed at enhancing performance and evaluating programs for JTCMHC, while also acting as a representative to accreditation and regulatory organizations. This involves assessing the number of staff and the structure of programs while still meeting the standards set by regulatory agencies and ODMHSAS mandates. Additionally, this role also advises the Executive Director on staffing and budget decisions for both short-term and long-term planning purposes. This role is a crucial part of the management team, ensuring clinical services are well integrated within the organization and actively participating in the creation of policies and procedures. When needed or as instructed, this position functions as the Executive Director.
Job Type/Salary:
- Base annual salary is $88,000 - Salaries are based on DMH experience and EBP certifications.
- Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- FLSA Status: Exempt
- Master Degree in Psychology, Business, Public Administration, Nursing, Human Relations, Education, Communication, Social Work, Health Administration, or a related administrative, legal, or behavioral health field, AND three (3) years administrative experience in behavioral health services to include program oversight and development or administrative experience within a behavioral health facility, children’s treatment facility, or other health care setting,
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preference may be given to candidates holding licensure in a qualified behavioral health field.
- Willing to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with position, e.g., attend training etc. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

About us: Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center in Lawton, OK is a community-based center with a primary focus on mental health and substance abuse treatment. The inpatient and outpatient services they provide include special groups and programs for adolescents, persons with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, seniors and older adults, women, men, and criminal justice groups.
