SUMMARY
Perry Ellis International is hiring an Assistant Manager of E-Commerce for our online stores reporting to the Site Manager/ Associate Site Manager. This role will support online business initiatives and strategies with a focus on maximizing sales and conversion, as well as content uploads. This position is part of the Retail Division (retail stores & e-commerce). The Assistant Site Manager will manage the day-to-day execution of website merchandising across the assigned site(s) and will require cross-functional partnerships with buyers, planners, brand marketing, web design, and more to be successful.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
BUSINESS STRATEGY
- Deliver financial results set forth each fiscal year.
- Works with Buyer/Planner to execute promotions
- Analyze selling by department/style and use findings for future promotional and merchandising strategies.
- Recap campaigns and promotions to use for insights and hindsight analysis.
SITE MERCHANDISING
- Fully responsible for product uploads to several sites on a timely basis.
- Understands market best practices for site merchandising and builds plans to reflect the first-class presentation of products within categories.
- Responsible for customer's journey and experience on-site and post-purchase for all devices (mobile, desktop) with a mobile-first mentality and ensure that categories are merchandised to optimize for revenue and conversion.
- Works closely with cross-functional partners (Digital & Brand Marketing, Omni Buying/Planning team,) to align monthly strategies to exceed goals and identify potential enhancements or changes based on knowledge of the category, industry trends, and customer behaviors.
- Work with the site manager on featured shops and seasonal storytelling for respective categories that will best respond to customer demand and convert visits into sales.
- Identify inventory needs and work with planning accordingly to mitigate potential missed opportunities.
- Partners with the Web Design team to build and enhance site features across categories.
- Works with basecamp for project management and implementation of emails, homepages, and other merchandising initiatives.
SITE FUNCTIONALITY
- Participate in weekly site audits to ensure correct presentation and optimal customer experience.
- Monitor site traffic, conversion rates, bounce rates, site speed, etc. through Google Analytics and work with the Digital Marketing team & consultant; analyze site metrics to connect web behavioral profiles to the customer, sales, and merchandising data.
- Involved with conversion improvement strategies including A/B testing initiatives, product recommendations, complete the look, on-site search rules, and recommendations, etc.
MARKETING
- Works with Site Manager or Associate on email marketing on the concept, planning, execution, and analysis.
- Aligns with all brand initiatives and participates in weekly brand marketing meetings and helps to execute on-site strategies.
- Oversees and ensures photography, shot list, and upload process is timely and accurate; maintains image expiration dates and leads the process to rectify upcoming expired images.
OTHER
- Keep abreast of market trends, consumer trends, customer service issues, and e-commerce technology.
- Perform and maintain competitive website analysis.
- Develop skills through training, webinars, industry newsletters.
- Perform other duties based on the changing needs of the business.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong PC skills (i.e. MS, Word, Excel) and Google Applications
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Multi-tasker with strong organizational skills
- Able to be resourceful and take initiative.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a related business field.
- Awareness of Digital Marketing Channels and Google Analytics a plus.
- Shopify or other e-commerce platforms is a plus
- Proven performance in a previous position.
- Previous experience with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Execution on a timely basis.
