New employees to the State will be paid biweekly. There are 26 biweekly pay
periods in a year.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
About the Work Unit
The Division of Transit and Rail (DTR), which is under the Office of
Innovative Mobility (OIM) at CDOT, is responsible for the planning,
development, finance, operation, and integration of transit and rail services
into the statewide transportation system. The Division, in coordination with
other transit and rail providers, plans, promotes, and implement investments
in transit and rail services statewide.
About the Position
As the Assistant Director of Transit and Mobility Grant Programs, which is
classified as Management, you will report to the Director of CDOT s Division
of Transit and Rail and coordinate closely with the entire OIM leadership
team. You will lead the Grant Programs Team within DTR, which is responsible
for managing the full portfolio of state and federally funded transit and
mobility grants within OIM from Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) to
project closeout.
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the
following:
Serve as a principal strategist and steward of resources for CDOT s FTA funded
programs
Provide leadership and guidance for achieving best practices in the management
and delivery of transit and mobility programs funded through federal and state
resources.
Play a critical role in helping the Department create a long term plan for the
future of transit in Colorado and to identify projects, investments and
services in partnership with the local agencies that will help deliver that
vision.
Lead and supervise two teams as a second level supervisor, encompassing pre-
and post-award activities for transit and mobility grants.
Provide strategic direction to the Grant Programs Teams' activities and
initiatives, delivering on goals outlined in the Statewide Transit and Clean
Transportation Wildly Important Goals (WIGs), crafting policy analysis and
recommendations to Executive Management, and supporting Office, Division and
departmental initiatives.
Responsible for performance measurement analysis and reporting, including
website dashboards for associated projects and programs.
Serve as DTRs primary contact for state transit agencies and CASTA, ensuring
that our federal obligations to work with and provide oversight of these
agencies (sub-recipients) is achieved along with providing an or anized and
collaborative process and communication structure.
Coordinate with the Clean Transit Enterprise (CTE) and Colorado Transportation
Investment Office (CTIO) to ensure funds are distributed appropriately and
meeting their intended goals.
Other job duties as assigned.
