Job Summary and Qualifications
As the Surgical and Specialty Services Assistant Director you will be responsible for Supply Chain operations in Surgical Services and Specialty Services (SSS) for facilities. You will implement standard Supply chain operating model in SSS to optimize and enhance operating results in the facility. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing and implementing clinical initiatives that impact supplies, inventory control, case cart process, preference card management and revenue integrity. utilized across the facility.
What you will do in this role:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction in supply chain operations, supply expense management, and supply chain clinical integration.
- Establish a clinically driven culture in Supply Chain through building strong alliances with hospital executives, CMO’s, physicians, and clinicians.
- Collaborate with facility and service center teams to assimilate information from a variety of sources and analyze financial, operational, clinical, quality, and service metrics,
- Communicate strategic recommendations and execute a course of action for overall improvement in operations, expense, clinical integration, quality, and service.
- Execute operations and expense management plans at the facility and report these results to the Vice President and/or Supply Chain Director in an accurate and timely manner.
- Successfully integrate the department’s services with the hospital’s primary functions.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide or support service level expectations.
- Establish and meet expense savings goals for the facility.
- Provide expense saving enhancement strategies for supplies in collaboration with hospital leadership.
- Coordinate efforts to enable successful supply improvement initiatives by quantifying opportunities, tracking data, and providing project management support.
- Facilitate the standardization of products and optimization of supply utilization through effective collaboration with physicians and clinicians
- Execute infrastructure project plans, including the implementation of the standardization programs for all supply chain functions (ie. SMART cleanup, master file standardization, online requisitioning, and EDI).
- Ensure SMART and Electronic Health Systems data integrity.
- Execute the implementation and operational plan for all of the point of use systems
- Manage facility implementation plans, identify and mitigate risks (leverage lessons learned, utilize proactive communication techniques), and monitor resource allocations to ensure successful execution of plan.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or similar Required.
- Minimum of three years hospital management experience required Preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in large capacity surgical/cardiac facility Preferred.
