Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing (Senior Living)
Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our senior living community. As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents and supporting the Director of Nursing in managing daily nursing operations.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care to residents.
- Assist in developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Staff Supervision and Development:
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and certified nursing assistants (CNAs).
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional growth and development.
Care Coordination and Assessment:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate resident care plans and ensure holistic care delivery.
- Conduct resident assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor resident progress and outcomes.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including state licensure regulations and federal guidelines (e.g., CMS).
- Participate in quality assurance activities, such as audits, chart reviews, and incident investigations, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Family and Resident Engagement:
- Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, addressing concerns, and providing support and guidance as needed.
- Participate in resident and family meetings, providing updates on care plans and addressing questions or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in a senior living or long-term care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in senior care.
