The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper(RVCH) continues our organization’s renowned approach to addiction recovery, which combines evidence-based treatment with holistic programming that promotes wellness in body and mind. Our 90-bed, 55,000-square-foot facility offers a full continuum of care, ranging from the initial detox process to the aftercare services provided when treatment ends. Clients also participate in our Weekly Recovery Compass program, which helps to directly identify, monitor and address potential setbacks that can be counterproductive to recovery.

Responsibilities:The Assistant Director of Nursing performs a wide variety of job duties during their shifts, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions; establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this position, and assists the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day management of the Nursing Department. The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for fostering staff engagement, aligning team efforts with organizational goals, and driving quality improvement projects along with directing the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Staff on their assigned unit. The Assistant Director of Nursing may be required to function in the role of the Director of Nursing in the absence of or by directive from the Director of Nursing.
Core Job Duties:
- Resolve pending issues from the previous shift, e.g., missed or incomplete labs or treatments, incomplete admissions or discharges, missing data for continuity of care.
- Compliance Audit Related to Infection Control, e.g., glucometer, refrigerator, sharps containers, laboratory cleanliness, pests in facility, hand washing and influenza vaccination program.
- Medication storage, medication returns, medication destruction, calling pharmacy to resolve medication issues to comply with state and federal regulations.
- Order supplies, inventory management, maintain/organize medical supplies.
- Monitor and track lab orders, monitor and track outside consultations, track medical transfers. Verification that collected lab samples are properly labeled and stored.
- Level of Care transfers in Avatar are entered timely.
- Administrative functions, e.g., scanning documents into Avatar, assisting with the work schedule, assisting BHT’s with the creation/modification of observation sheets.
- Admission and discharge audits. Check/audit the proper completion of any nursing procedure (at discretion of DON) to assure compliance.
- Coordinate the Vivitrol program as directed by supervisor.
- Is responsible for maintaining the daily scheduling of units according to approved ratios based on census.
- Assists the staff with admissions, discharges, patient care needs as required to provide optional nursing care.
- Interacts with patients and staff on duty on a regular basis to ensure quality care.
- Collaborates with other departments and agencies regarding resources and services for quality patient care delivery.
- During State of Emergency, ensures appropriate nurse staffing levels are maintained and may be required to remain onsite throughout the State of Emergency period.
Schedule: 3pm -11pm and every other weekend
Urgently Hiring: FT (8 hr shifts)

Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, licensed as a Registered Nurse as indicated in State law, higher education preferred
- Minimum two years’ experience as a Licensed Registered Nurse. Behavioral health experience preferred.
- State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws; Licensing and Accreditation
- Licensed to practice in the appropriate state, as applicable, required.
- Prior leadership/supervisor experience preferred.
