Assistant Director of Nursing
We are partnering with a prestigious nursing home group in New Orleans, LA, to find a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). This role is designed for an RN with management experience, who is ready to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing staff, providing direction, building teams, and establishing effective systems to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.
The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Nursing Services and is responsible for assisting in the clinical and administrative leadership of the nursing team. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who is ready to step in as needed to help the nursing home community thrive.

Qualifications:
- Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Louisiana with an unencumbered license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a health-related field.
- Two years of experience in a nursing leadership role.
- Familiarity with JACO, LDH, and CMS regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Louisiana Medicare/Medicaid regulations and Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) standards.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing in providing clinical oversight of nursing care employees, services, and functions.
- Ensure the high quality and safe delivery of nursing care to all residents.
- Support daily operations, including supervising nursing staff and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist in quality assurance efforts and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Round with physicians and collaborate with the medical team to provide excellent resident care.
- Help in the recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Provide on-call support as needed.
- Actively respond to emergency situations such as inclement weather or pandemics.
- Work closely with the Nursing Home Administrator to create a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff.
- Support the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and evaluating nursing services, programs, and activities.
This role directly reports to the Director of Nursing Services and will work collaboratively with the nursing home leadership team to ensure a high standard of care.
