A highly respected Senior Living Facility is partnering with us to find an Assistant Director of Nursing to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, a passion for providing exceptional care to seniors, and a commitment to supporting and developing a team of dedicated nurses.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing in providing leadership and supervision to the nursing department
- Help ensure the highest level of quality care is provided to our residents
- Manage staffing and scheduling of nurses
- Assist in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures
- Help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care for residents
- Participate in the hiring and training of nursing staff
- Assist in providing education and training to nursing staff on best practices and new developments in elder care
Requirements:
- Active Texas nursing license
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or higher
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing management in a long-term care facility
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing elder care facilities
- Experience in staff development and training
- Familiarity with elder care services, multiple medical diagnoses, complex medical conditions, rehabilitation & preventative care
