Your Purpose
Your primary role is to assist the Director of Nursing to plan, direct, and evaluate total nursing care and
functions for the nursing department. Your leadership style sets the tone for the community ensuring the highest
degree of quality resident-directed care is always maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the
day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
· Ensure that reference material (i.e., PDR'S, Federal and State Regulations, etc.) maintained at the nurses
stations is current. Recommend to the Director written material that will assist the nursing service
department in meeting the day-to-day needs of residents.
· Ensure that the Nursing Service Procedures manual is always current and reflects the day-to-day
nursing care procedures used by this facility.
· Participate in the interviewing and selection of residents for admission to the facility, including the
PASARR screening.
· Provide the Director with information relative to the nursing needs of the residents and to the nursing
service department ability to meet those needs.
· Assist the Director in preparing performance evaluations as directed.
· Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and to determine if nursing needs are being met.
Qualifications
· Current RN license for the State of Colorado
· Current BLS/CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire

$70,000 - $85,000 yearly
