Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Westfield Gardens, Westfield, MA

Westfield Gardens, an 80-bed skilled nursing facility in Westfield, MA, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to join our team in a full-time role. This position focuses on overseeing nursing services, with a special emphasis on wound care and infection control.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and direct the daily operations of the nursing department to deliver exceptional resident care.
• Manage and oversee wound care programs and infection control protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct admissions assessments and participate in resident screening.
• Review nursing documentation for accuracy and adherence to care protocols.
• Perform daily rounds to observe resident care and address any concerns.
• Collaborate with physicians and engage with residents to ensure individual care needs are met.
• Assist in developing and updating MDS schedules, RAPs, and triggers with the care planning team.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN supervisory experience as an ADON in a long-term care setting.
• Strong expertise in wound care and infection control.
• Ability to step in on the floor when necessary and support nursing staff.
